Prompt: Today, your group had to work together to earn 100% on the “A Worn Path” assessment or write an essay. How did this challenge affect the way your group discussed the story and made decisions? What did you learn from the experience?

Prompt Response: Working with my group to earn a 100% on the “A Worn Path” assessment motivated everyone to contribute equally and work hard to ensure our grade. We had to work together to analyze the story and carefully eliminate wrong answers to find the best option. This challenged the way my group made decisions because some of us interpreted the story differently than others, so we had to hear each other out to come to the best conclusion. I learned from this experience that I should always use the process of elimination and carefully think through the questions before answering.
Summary: Today in class we did a group assessment on “A Worn Path” using the process of elimination.
Reflection: I enjoyed this group assessment because it allowed me to discuss the story with my classmates, which helped me to better understand the themes and characters of the story. I would like to do more of these group assessments in the future because they are fun and make us work hard!
