Prompt Response: A time where I had to travel somewhere and faced many obstacles was when I went on the Fine Arts Chicago trip in the spring of 2026. The buses were supposed to pick us up from the school at five in the morning. When the buses didn't arrive on time, we assumed there was just a short delay and that they would be here soon. The buses ended up not coming until noon, so the trip was already delayed by half a day. To make matters worse, a few hours into the ride, the buses broke down. We had to pull over multiple times and ended up waiting for a new bus to come pick us up at a truck stop in Tennessee since our current bus wasn't safe to use. By now, I was extremely upset because we had been having bus trouble for over twelve hours and I just wanted to go home! When the new bus arrived, we got on and finally arrived in Chicago at three in the morning. Personally, I do not think the journey was worth it in the end because the bus situation was very overwhelming and the trip wasn't fun enough to make up for it.

  Prompt: Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone. Prompt Response:  A moment where I had to step out of my comfort zone was when driving from Georgia to South Carolina in June. At the time, I had only had my license for a few weeks, so driving across state lines was big for me. The reason I had to do this was because I was picking up a car for my brother from my Aunt's house, but he did not have his license yet, so I had to drive the car instead. My dad drove us to my Aunts house, where we stopped and said hi for a bit, and then they gave me the keys and we hit the road. My Dad had us take back roads instead of the highway since I was still a new driver, so the ride was two and a half hours. Prompt Response:  If someone were to look through my trashcan today, they would find a goodwill receipt, sewing thread, and scrap paper with schoolwork on it. The goodwill receipt reveals that I like to go thrifting and buy clothes a lot, and it also shows that I prefer secondhand clothes over fast fashion. The sewing thread reveals that I'm crafty and independent, and that I like to sew up holes from my thrifted clothes or sew mini plushies.
