What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

Prompt: What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

Prompt Response: The most creative thing I have ever made is a short horror mini movie with my cousin. We made it over spring break of 2025 when it was raining so we couldn't go to the beach. It stands out as my best work because it was something we made when we were stuck inside so we were completely devoted to making it. Our boredom and situation allowed us to put all our energy towards creating this mini movie, and it turned out really good. It's only about 9 minutes long, yet it took us all day to make because of the filming process and creativeness required.

Summary: Today in class we continued to work on our visual representations of our origin myths.

Reflection: Today I finished my visual representation and I was able to put a lot of detail into it because I had extra time in class. This made me realize that when I take my time I get to add extra detail and perfect my work, which is something I should strive to do on all assignments rather than rush to submit.

If you could change one rule at school, at home, or in society, what would it be? Using a claim of policy, make an argument for why that rule should change, using at least two reasons to support your claim.

Prompt: If you could change one rule at school, at home, or in society, what would it be? Using a claim of policy, make an argument for why that rule should change, using at least two reasons to support your claim. Prompt Response:  If I could change one rule at school, I would change the phone policy. Although I agree that phones should not be used during instructional time, it's unsafe to completely ban them throughout the entire school day. One solution to the phone ban would be only banning phones during instructional time, but allowing them during class transitions, lunch time, and when work is completed. This would allow students to still focus on their work without phones but eliminate the unsafety of having no access to your phone during other times. For example, if there was an emergency at school, a student would not be able to contact their parents because of the phone ban. This is why I think they should only be banned during educational time and not the entire d...

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt: Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone. Prompt Response:  A moment where I had to step out of my comfort zone was when driving from Georgia to South Carolina in June. At the time, I had only had my license for a few weeks, so driving across state lines was big for me. The reason I had to do this was because I was picking up a car for my brother from my Aunt's house, but he did not have his license yet, so I had to drive the car instead. My dad drove us to my Aunts house, where we stopped and said hi for a bit, and then they gave me the keys and we hit the road. My Dad had us take back roads instead of the highway since I was still a new driver, so the ride was two and a half hours. It ended up being a very smooth and chill road trip, but it definitely was a step outside of my comfort zone!  Summary:  Today in class we continued analyzing “Constantly Risking Absurdity” by Lawrence Feringhetti and did a worksheet on it. Reflection:...

Imagine someone could learn about you only by looking through your trash can. What three items might they find in your trash today, and what would each item reveal about your personality, habits, interests, or life right now?

Prompt: Imagine someone could learn about you only by looking through your trash can. What three items might they find in your trash today, and what would each item reveal about your personality, habits, interests, or life right now? Prompt Response:  If someone were to look through my trashcan today, they would find a goodwill receipt, sewing thread, and scrap paper with schoolwork on it. The goodwill receipt reveals that I like to go thrifting and buy clothes a lot, and it also shows that I prefer secondhand clothes over fast fashion. The sewing thread reveals that I'm crafty and independent, and that I like to sew up holes from my thrifted clothes or sew mini plushies. The scrap paper reveals that I prioritize my education and tend to do a lot of hard math and chemistry equations for homework. All these items show that I am unique, crafty, and smart. Summary:  Today in class I wrote about 10 items that I think the character Roy from “The Rockpile” would have in his t...
